You will have a telephone consultation with one of our experienced patient care coordinators (PCC). The PCC will discuss regarding your concerns, needs and give necessary advice to prepare you for the consultation.

It is important to bring any photographs to show your preferences during the consultation. A visual representation of the desired outcome can speak volumes compared to any other form of description. It is preferable to measure up your bra size before your appointment to allow the surgeon to objectively assess your volume of breast tissue and advice on appropriate implant size.

I offer extended consultations to ensure that you have all necessary information available before making an informed decision. You will be given a questionnaire to complete details about your general health. Then you will have the opportunity to meet with me to discuss regarding your surgery.

During the initial part of the consultation, I will go through the questionnaire and ask relevant questions to understand your needs and expectations. This is followed by a physical examination (a chaperone will be offered) before discussion regarding your surgical options.

Once you have selected an implant that suits your body shape and expectation, you will meet your PCC. You will be provided with an implant sizer to be worn in a prosthetic bra to visualise the enhancement that can be achieved after your surgery. I also provide a link/QR code for downloading a mobile app  to see 3D visualisation of your potential post operative outcome.

During the time you spend with our PCC, you will have further opportunity to understand your pre, intra and post operative care package. You will be provided with financing options and potential dates for surgery to plan your personal and/or professional commitment.

You will be provided with various implant type, shape and projection during your consultation. I will discuss in detail regarding the pros and cons of each approach allowing you to analyse and make an informed decision.

You will meet our excellent pre-operative and anaesthetic team who will be taking care of you on the day of your surgery. The surgery will be done as a day case procedure and you would be able to go home on the same day. After surgery, you will be in the post-operative care unit and will have a one-to-one nursing care. Once you are comfortable, and our rigorous post-operative discharge requirements are met, you would be allowed to go home with your bystander.

Breast augmentation surgery is performed through a small scar in the lower crease of your breast. You will be given options to choose the size, shape and projection of the implant based on your breast and chest wall shape. I will also advice on whether an implant can be placed fully above your muscle (sub glandular) or needs to be placed partially under the muscle and breast tissue (dual plane).
The surgery will be done as a day case procedure and you would be able to go home the same day. You will be given both verbal and written instructions on your post-operative recovery and follow-up. You will have a dedicated contact person during your immediate post-operative recovery period to ensure that your concerns can be addressed. This allows you to recover in the post-operative period stress free for a new beginning.
